After hiatus, dada's return plays like the band never left

The title of dada's latest album is "How to Be Found," particularly apt given the band released it after a three-and-a-half year hiatus.

Not that the band needed help to re-establish itself. Testing the waters last year, the band was encouraged when a show in Central California attracted fans from all over the country.

"They seemingly never went away," says singer and bassist Joie Calio of the group's followers. "It was one of the happy bonuses when dada did decide to come back."

Dada plays the Rex Theatre on the South Side on Wednesday.
